wildflower walk through one of our most abundant parks - Poor Farm
Park. Meet at the Amphitheater Stage.
Shirlea Pemberton is a naturalist, forester, and soil consultant.
Shirlea's enthusiasm,
training and experience make a walk with her a gift of awareness and
joy at the beauty and connectedness of the world we often walk
through too quickly without really seeing. "A walk with Shirlea" is
a an opportunity to slow down, relax, and enjoy nature and our place
in it. |

If you have a wildflower guide, bring it and add to your
lifetime list. Shirlea will explore as she goes, pointing out
characteristics that identify plants, and explain the
relationships and connections of the forest. "Every day the
forest changes - a new flower or plant blooms and another fades
as the season changes."
